how to control your anxiety

Life is full of wonderful moments but it can also be filled with moments that are equally tumultuous in nature. However, there are ways you can control your anxiety but first you have to be aware of it.

If you’re not quite sure whether you are suffering from severe anxiety or not, there are some definite symptoms that are knocking loudly at your door. Here’s a look at some big red flags and tips on how to control your anxiety.

Mood Changes

Everyone has mood changes every now and then but when it swings so far it feels like you are skydiving off a cliff, you may notice that you feel fearful and a bit like a cornered animal.

You may become frustrated and even impatient. If this is unlike you then it’s important that you pay attention to all these signs because it means that you need to pay attention to everything that is happening and get the help you need. You can also consider taking riceberry to help calm you.

Lack of Sleep

If you’re finding it difficult to sleep for one reason or another then it can also be a sign that you are suffering from great anxiety and even depression. Getting the right amount of shuteye every night is critical to helping you to avoid any kind of anxiety you may be feeling.

Make your environment conducive to sleeping as it can help. This means that your bedroom should be at the right temperature. Try to get beautiful shutters to keep light out and a comfortable mattress that your body can melt into at night so that you can get enough sleep.

Deteriorating Relationships

One of the hallmarks of extreme anxiety is deteriorating relationships. If you find that your relationships are going down the drain and no matter what you do you can’t seem to revive them, this is a clear signal that your anxiety is taking over your life and you need to get professional help.

It’s important that you try to keep these relationships from going further into the ground. The only way to do this is to take action and make sure that you understand what is happening.

Perhaps the best way to make sure that things don’t get too hard is to confide what you are feeling to those closest to you. This way you will find someone to be in your corner and assist you with raising your spirits and getting your anxiety under control.

Finding a shoulder to lean on can sometimes be very difficult so don’t feel bad if you can’t find anyone just seek assistance from a qualified therapist.

Try Journaling

You can also try expressing your feelings in a journal as well. This is a great way for you to release all the stress and anxiety you may be feeling as this can bottle up inside and make your anxiety worse. If you feel these feelings swelling up inside you, don’t be afraid to get a  pen and paper and throw every thought into it.

Why Walking In Nature Feels Better For Your Mental Health

A walk is often treated as interchangeable. Ten minutes is ten minutes, wherever it happens. But many people notice that walking somewhere green feels different to walking through built-up streets, retail parks or busy neighbourhoods. The distance may be the same. The pace may be similar. Yet the experience often feels calmer, lighter, […]
